How awful! Your supervisor sounds wretched! She must have a horrible personal life to be such a witch at the office! I hope the next 6 months go by fast for you. Stay strong!

Oh my! Your supervisor sounds absolutely horrid! How awful for you. I am so sorry that you have to deal with her. Ugh! Well, let's just hope that time flies by and you will be rid of her soon enough and then you can focus more on what you want from life. Good luck!

I've worked with people like that and it's totally miserable. And it's worse when you're stuck there. If you have to stay for 6 months anyway, make it productive. Keep an objective but detailed diary of all your boss's unprofessional behaviour and, when you finally get to leave, give a copy to her boss. Office bullying exists and it takes someone to do something about it. You mightn't be able to help yourself but you might make life easier for the people who work for her in the future. In the meantime you have my sincere sympathy and as many e-hugs as you can handle! Plan yourself a major treat when you leave and start counting down the days. Hope things get better. x

Oh Vanessa...I am so sorry. I would hug you right now if I could. Hug you and cry with you. Mean people are just NOT ok. I struggle with why some people feel they need to tear down others to make themselves feel better. Do they really feel better? I doubt it. I hope the next little while goes by quickly for you. Maybe you could try killing her with kindness...NOT something I am good at when I'm feeling attacked. I am so, so sorry. You are such a kind person, who deserves kindness in return. You really do. :)

I am so sorry to hear that your worklife is so wretched demoralizing. It can be so soul sapping.

I do not have words of wisdom, really. Surround yourself with people who support you and encourage you. Find those activities that give you some pleasure and joy.

And when you are faced with that horrid woman, try not to let her words and actions cling to you. Imagine a barrier between you where her energy is reflected back onto her. You do not have to accept her negativity and harbour it!

You will be in my prayers.
